A historic achievement for Morata in the World Cup

Spain striker Alvaro Morata achieved a historic achievement, during the confrontation with Germany, this evening, Sunday, at Al-Bayt Stadium, in the second round of Group E, for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.


Substitute Alvaro Morata succeeded in scoring the goal for Spain in the 62nd minute, when he received a cross from the left side through his colleague Jordi Alba, and put it with the face of the foot in the net of Manuel Neuer.


According to the "Opta" statistics network, Morata is the sixth player to score in consecutive matches as a substitute in the history of the World Cup (two goals).


The network added, "Morata is the first player to achieve this in the Spanish national team shirt," noting that he also scored in the first match against Costa Rica after participating as a substitute.
